Unit Five is Officially Open
What a night. Thank you to everyone who came through for our opening party family, friends, and familiar faces from the cycling world, all packed into our new home on Tottenham Court Road.
We enjoyed sushi, pizza, and good drinks, with Silver Surf keeping the tunes on point all night, and a huge thank you to FlocoFlowers for the beautiful decoration that made the shop feel truly special for the occasion.
It was especially meaningful to have friends and family from
Recycle A Bike our original non-profit workshop there to see this new chapter. Unit 5 Cycles is a new venture, but it's built on a foundation nearly two decades in the making.
A New Home, Same Ethos
Unit 5 Cycles marks our relocation from Brentford to Central London, but it's far from a departure from where we came from. We continue that same non-profit ethos supporting adults with mental health needs and helping people back into work now from our new home on Tottenham Court Road.
Thank you again to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to welcome you all into the shop.
Where It All Started
Recycle A Bike was established in 2006 and still operates today in Uxbridge, supporting adults with mental health needs and helping people return to the workforce through bike mechanics and cycling. It's work we're incredibly proud of, and it remains at the heart of everything we do.
For the past nine years, we served as the in-house mechanics for GSK in Brentford keeping their teams moving, learning, and building relationships that we're grateful to carry forward.
